Eco Wood Oil Natural Wood Wipe For Kitchen Utensils and Bread Boards
Since the beginning of man wood has been shaped into utensils, bowls & chopping blocks.
Wood is practical, easily shaped and less likely to feed and hold bacteria. However,
constant washing of wood has a tendency to soften the surface tissue and raise the fibres of the timber. – Therefore, it is necessary to regularly nourish or feed the timber to prevent this.
Many oils used today by the home cook like Olive, Grape seed, Canola or mineral oils and
other cooking oils are classified as non-drying oils and can promote mould growth, gradual
darkening of the timber, as well as leaving a sticky surface that attracts dust and dirt.
Drying oils like Tung Nut Oil cure under oxidisation (air) within the structure of the timber and is more resilient to water and alcohol and less likely to promote mould growth or go rancid.
Ecowood Oils’ “WOODWIPE” has been specifically formulated from a blend of Nut* & Citrus Oils to create a drying oil that will maintain Wooden items that frequently come in contact with food and water. A simple wipe on/wipe off application is all that is required to keep your timber pieces nourished, looking their best and feeling good to the touch.
